Today, Wednesday, for the fourth consecutive day, the Zionist enemy continues to close the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, southeast of the Gaza Strip, and prevents the entry of humanitarian aid and goods into the Strip.
The closure of the crossing comes after the decision of the enemy’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to stop all goods and supplies to the Gaza Strip starting last Sunday.
The government media office in Gaza confirmed that the enemy’s continued closure of the Kerem Abu Salem crossing exacerbates the humanitarian situation in the Strip.
The closure of the Kerem Abu Salem crossing was considered illegal and inhumane and exacerbates the humanitarian catastrophe.
The media office indicated that 24,000 patients and wounded in the Strip need treatment abroad, warning that the fuel crisis will lead to hospitals stopping work and power outages in shelters.
Netanyahu is using the cessation of aid as a blackmail and pressure card, in an attempt to evade entering into negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which was supposed to begin on February 3.
With the continued closure of the crossings and the prevention of the entry of aid, the humanitarian situation in the Strip is worsening, increasing the suffering of more than two million Palestinians who are already living in tragic living conditions, due to the Israeli war of extermination that lasted 15 months.
