Over 80,000 worshippers Monday evening performed Salat Al-Isha and Tarawih at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem, according to the Ministry of Waqf Affairs.
The Ministry estimated that over 80,000 worshippers performed the Salat al-Isha and Tarawih prayers at the mosque compound, and pointed out that they were mostly residents of Jerusalem and residents of the 1948 occupied Territories (Israel).
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detained three worshippers from the courtyards of the holy site.
Earlier today, more than 500 Israeli colonists forced their way into the mosque compound on the second day of Ramadan under the protection of the occupying forces.
This came as the occupation forces tightened access restrictions to the mosque compound, depriving thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank from accessing the site.
