Severe Domestic Gas Shortage Hits Occupied Provinces

The provinces under the control of the Saudi-led aggression and its mercenaries are facing a severe domestic gas shortage, which has completely disappeared from official markets.

It is now widely available on the black market at double the price, sparking widespread discontent among citizens who are forced to wait for long hours at filling stations in search of a gas cylinder.

Activists on social media have shared photos and videos documenting the suffering of residents in occupied Mukalla, highlighting the magnitude of the crisis affecting provinces such as Taiz, Aden, Abyan, Lahj, and Shabwa. Despite all gas filling stations being under the control of the aggression and its mercenaries in Marib, the crisis persists.

In the past two weeks, activists have shared images of large quantities of gas being smuggled via boats to neighboring countries, while the occupied provinces are witnessing an unprecedented rise in gas prices, reaching about 25,000 riyals per cylinder. This has further exacerbated the suffering of citizens and sparked more popular protests.
