The Hill: Washington Failed To Curb The Yemeni Response

The American newspaper, The Hill, asserted that “military operations against the Houthis under the Biden administration have not achieved their objectives.

On the contrary, the region has witnessed an unprecedented military escalation, with the military carrying out more than 100 targeted operations targeting ships linked to Israel and the United States in the Red Sea.”

The newspaper noted that these attacks directly impacted global trade, prompting major shipping companies to reroute their routes away from the Suez Canal, a move that reflects the strategic impact of the Yemeni operations.

The newspaper added that Washington, despite its ongoing military campaign, has been unable to halt the Yemeni response, raising questions about the effectiveness of the American approach to dealing with the regional situation, especially as the Yemeni army continues to affirm its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its rejection of the aggression against Gaza.

The report explained that since late 2023, the Yemenis have carried out more than 100 attacks on commercial vessels, sinking two ships, disrupting global trade and forcing major shipping companies to reroute around the Cape of Good Hope instead of passing through the Suez Canal.
