The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the decision of the Zionist enemy authorities to stop the entry of humanitarian aid and close all crossings leading to the Gaza Strip.
The organization considered in a statement today, Monday, that these illegal measures constitute a violation of international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
It said that the illegal Zionist siege on the Gaza Strip constitutes collective punishment and a crime against humanity that requires accountability and prosecution under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
It called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take the necessary measures to put an end to the crimes of “Israel”, the occupying power, and its ongoing violations in the occupied Palestinian territory, and to ensure the adequate, permanent and unhindered access of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
