The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated: “The Gaza Strip contains the largest group of child amputees in modern history.”
Meanwhile, the Disability Program of the Medical Aid Society, a British charity, confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that “aid for child amputees during the truce covered only 20% of needs.”
It added that “Israel is preventing the entry of materials for manufacturing prosthetic limbs, claiming they could be used for military purposes.”
