Al-Masrakh Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society in Taiz Governorate launched an extensive veterinary campaign to treat and protect livestock from diseases and viruses.
The campaign, implemented by the Al-Masrakh Society under the supervision of the governorate’s local authorities and funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative Union, the agricultural sector, and the Binyan Development Foundation in the governorate, aims to treat and protect livestock and immunize them against widespread diseases and viruses that attack animals.
The campaign, which includes veterinary staff from the Khadir Cooperative Society and a number of development workers from the Al-Masrakh District, includes free veterinary examinations and injections of antibiotics and vitamins to combat widespread diseases.
Intensive awareness sessions are also held to educate breeders on the best health practices for protecting their livestock from epidemics, thus contributing to increased productivity.
During the launch, Fahd Al-Husseini, Chairman of the Al-Masrakh Association, explained that this campaign responds to the urgent needs of livestock farmers in light of the challenges facing the livestock sector.
He emphasized that promoting livestock and providing veterinary services are essential pillars for achieving sustainable development and ensuring food security in the region.
Al-Husseini called on all livestock farmers to benefit from the campaign’s services, which continues its activities in the Abdan area and surrounding areas.
He added that efforts are ongoing to provide a sustainable, healthy environment for livestock, contributing to increased production and the protection of livestock in the district.
