Wheat Harvest Season Launched in Al-Durayhimi District, Hodeidah

The wheat harvest season was officially launched in Al-Durayhimi District, Hodeidah Governorate, during an event organized by the Al-Durayhimi Agricultural Association in coordination with the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch in the governorate.

During the event, district director Mohammed Al-Moussai highlighted the success of cultivating wheat and other crops as a significant achievement that reflects farmers’ resilience in the face of challenges.

He emphasized the feasibility of wheat cultivation in Tihama and throughout Yemen.

Al-Moussai also praised the efforts of the Agricultural Association in motivating farmers and making substantial progress toward reducing import bills and strengthening food security.

Meanwhile, the coordinator for associations at the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch, Ali Al-Hadi, reaffirmed the union’s continued support for agricultural associations, which plays a key role in expanding the areas cultivated with wheat. He stressed the importance of this crop in achieving self-sufficiency.
