An Iranian Delegation Headed By Araqji Arrives To The Sultanate Of Oman

An Iranian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in the Omani capital, Muscat, which is hosting the indirect talks between Iran and the United States.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei was quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA as saying on his Twitter account: “A group of our most experienced colleagues, accompanied by the Foreign Minister, are heading to Muscat, and we are determined to use all our capabilities to protect Iran’s power and national interests.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that the indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States will begin today, Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the Sultanate of Oman.

Araqchi wrote on Twitter early Tuesday morning: “Iran and the United States will meet in the Sultanate of Oman on Saturday for indirect negotiations at the senior official level.”
He continued: “This is both an opportunity and a test. The ball is now in America’s court.”
