Awqaf Authority Condemns US Bombing Of Cemetery In Sana’a

The General Authority of Awqaf has condemned the crimes committed by U.S. aggression, which has targeted residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure—most notably culminating in the bombing of the Majel al-Damma Cemetery in the capital, Sana’a.

In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Awqaf Authority  described the targeting of cemeteries as a blatant violation of the sanctity of the dead.

It denounced the act as an expression of the tyranny and hatred of the American enemy, as well as a sign of its failure and confusion in the face of the Yemeni people’s resilience and faith.

The statement read: “The authority is closely monitoring the heinous crimes perpetrated by the American enemy against the Yemeni people and their infrastructure. The most recent of these was the attack on the Majel al-Damma Cemetery in Sana’a, which injured the cemetery’s guard and damaged 240 graves—nine of which were completely destroyed, while 231 were partially damaged.”

The  authority  held the American forces and their allies fully responsible for these crimes, calling on all free and just people around the world to denounce the acts committed by what it described as the “head of global evil, America.”

It further reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast stance in support of the Palestinian people and its full commitment to the directives of the revolutionary leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the Yemeni armed forces in confronting and deterring the aggressors.

The Awqaf Authority called on the people of Yemen to redouble their efforts and enhance preparedness to thwart the enemy’s schemes, support the armed forces, and actively participate in all activities within this sacred battle.
