Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the massacres committed by “Israel” in Gaza have exposed the hypocrisy of “Western values.”
Speaking at the General Assembly of the Foundation for Women and Democracy (KADEM) in Istanbul, Erdoğan stated: “The ongoing massacres in Gaza for the past 18 months, along with recent global events, have exposed the emptiness of what is called ‘Western values.’”
“With every innocent child, woman and infant brutally murdered, what’s left of the West’s moral superiority, which was already greatly weakened, fades away,” he said.
On domestic matters, Erdoğan criticized the Turkish opposition for advocating gender abolition policies, claiming that even Western nations are now “seeking ways to abandon such policies.”
These remarks come as the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday, Saturday, that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 51,157 martyrs and 116,724 wounded since the war began on October 7, 2023.”
