The Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development on Monday condemned the heinous crime committed by American enemy warplanes, targeting a citizen’s house in the Sha’ab al-Haffa area in Shu’ub district, in the capital Sana’a, which resulted in the martyrdom of several individuals and the injury of others.
In a statement, the center confirmed that this criminal act constitutes a complete war crime and a blatant violation of all international norms and conventions, particularly international humanitarian law, which criminalizes the targeting of civilians and safe residential areas.
The statement emphasized that there is no justification—under any pretext—for targeting a safe civilian home in a populated area, stressing that such actions undoubtedly reflect the US’s disregard for human life, humanitarian principles, and moral values.
It held the American aggression accountable for the crime and its consequences, urging the international community, the UN, the Human Rights Council, and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to stop these attacks and prosecute the perpetrators as war criminals in international courts.
The statement also called for an independent and transparent international investigation into this and other similar crimes committed against defenseless civilians, emphasizing that impunity will no longer be acceptable.
It stressed that misleading public opinion will not erase the blood of innocent victims and will not prevent justice from being achieved.
