Health sector staff in the district of Washha in Hajjah province staged a protest on Thursday condemning the US bombing of the health center in the district. The attack has left 15,000 residents of this remote region without access to vital medical care.
In the protest, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kuhlani, the director of health bureau in the province, and other officials condemned the US aggression’s attack on the health center, which resulted in its total destruction.
He described the attack on the health center as a violation of ethics and international law, aimed at worsening the suffering of over 15,000 beneficiaries in the remote district.
He stressed that this crime would not stop the provision of essential health services.
Participants in a protest condemned the international silence on U.S. violations of international and humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting civilian facilities.
They called on the UN, human rights organizations, and the international community to protect civilians and take immediate action to stop these attacks.
They held the US administration fully responsible for the attack and its humanitarian impact, urging the international community to break its silence and take a strong stance against US aggression.
