The Zionist newspaper Globes confirmed that the port of Eilat has remained abandoned for over a year due to Yemeni military operations and the blockade preventing ships from reaching the occupied territories.
The port has been effectively shut down due to Yemen’s maritime restrictions. 18 workers were fired during negotiations, according to Israel’s General Labor Union.
Yemeni forces have successfully paralyzed maritime traffic in the Suez Gulf. Major shipping companies have been forced to reroute, increasing costs and delays.
According to Globes, relations between the Israeli Labor Union and Eilat Port administration are at a breaking point. The situation appears on the verge of explosion due to economic fallout.
Yemenis have been hitting Israeli and American targets in support of Palestinians in Gaza since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, and in response to the American-British aggression on their homeland.
The operations have effectively shut down the Eilat port south of the occupied territories, causing significant economic setbacks for the Israelis.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they will not stop their attacks until Israel’s ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.
“Israel” launched its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, but it failed to achieve its declared objectives despite killing 50,752 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring more than 115,475 others.
The usurping entity accepted longstanding negotiation terms by the Hamas resistance group under the Gaza ceasefire, which began on January 19.
On March 18, however, Israel unilaterally broke the truce and resumed its relentless bombing of Gaza.
