Local Authorities in Hodeidah Condemn US Attack Wn Water Facility, Demand International Action

The local authorities in Hodeidah Governorate and in the district of Mansouria strongly condemned the US attack that targeted the Water Corporation branch in the district and the reservoir of the Al-Sanif water project, which serves thousands of civilians.

In a joint statement, the local authorities confirmed that the deliberate bombing killed four employees while they were on duty and left another critically injured. The assault completely destroyed the facility, including operational equipment and generators, cutting off water access for thousands and worsening the region’s humanitarian crisis.

The statement denounced the attack as a war crime, accusing the US of systematically targeting civilian infrastructure in violation of international humanitarian law.

It held the United Nations and the international community fully responsible for their silence, which amounts to complicity in crimes against the Yemeni people.

The authorities demanded immediate international condemnation of the US attack, urgent repairs to restore water services, and called on human rights organizations to document the crime and hold perpetrators accountable.”

The statement affirmed that such crimes will only strengthen Yemen’s resilience, vowing that the people will resist all forms of oppression.
