Mass Demonstrations in Washington Against Israeli War of Extermination in Gaza

Thousands of activists gathered on Saturday outside the White House in Washington DC to protest the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and the repression of free speech under the Trump-Musk administration.

The demonstration, one of the largest since October 2023, was aimed at condemning the US-funded bloodbath and to press President Donald Trump’s administration to rein in the far-right Israeli government.

Protesters, who included members of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities from across the United States, expressed their opposition to the arrest and harassment of students supporting Palestinian rights at US universities, and called for an end to US military and financial aid to Israel.

As a symbolic representation of the atrocities committed in Gaza, protesters placed children’s shoes along the streets leading to the White House, symbolizing the thousands of Palestinian children who have been killed during the ongoing aggression. A massive banner was also displayed, listing the names of the Palestinian victims.

Similar anti-genocide demonstrations were held in other US cities as part of the Global Day of Action, demanding an immediate end to the genocide in Gaza. The rallies even extended to some European capitals, where protesters voiced opposition to Trump and his aggressive trade policies.
