A meeting in Sana’a, chaired by Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban, discussed on Tuesday aspects related to the work and tasks of the Medical Council.
The meeting, which included the ministry’s undersecretaries, the head, deputy, and members of the Medical Council, addressed the difficulties facing the Council and ways to overcome them.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the role played by the Council in protecting the rights of patients and doctors, and the need to empower it to carry out its professional responsibilities as the legally competent authority to establish the rules and principles for practicing medical professions in Yemen.
The meeting also highlighted the Council’s role in promoting the health sector, evaluating the outputs of universities, colleges, and medical institutes, improving health services, and systematically reforming the status of hospitals.
