Minister Of Social Affairs Affirms Commitment To Assisting Victims Of U.S. Aggression

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajala, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to assisting those affected by the crimes of American aggression, which continue to target civilians and residential areas—the latest being the attack on the Furwah neighborhood and market in Shu’ub District, Capital Municipality.

In a statement , Minister Bajala said he is in continuous contact with humanitarian organizations to enhance coordination and cooperation in responding to disasters caused by the criminal American airstrikes, which have resulted in civilian casualties and widespread destruction of homes, facilities, and public infrastructure.

He noted that the Yemeni Red Crescent Society has been urged to double its efforts in providing essential aid to families whose homes and properties were partially or completely destroyed, leaving them without shelter or means of livelihood. This includes addressing the health, psychological, and economic impacts of these American assaults.

Minister Bajala also expressed hope that the Yemeni Red Crescent would request the International Committee of the Red Cross to increase its support and aid across all governorates affected by U.S. aggression.

He pointed out that the ministry and its branches in the capital and other provinces are ready to provide all necessary facilitation and support to humanitarian organizations, enabling them to fulfill their roles by their operating permits and agreements for disaster response.

Additionally, the minister condemned, on behalf of the ministry and its affiliated entities—including the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, the Social Welfare Fund, and civil society organizations—the American and Israeli crimes being committed against the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples.

He denounced the international community’s disgraceful silence in the face of U.S. and Israeli violations of international laws and conventions that criminalize attacks on civilians and damage to civilian infrastructure during conflicts.

The minister held the United States legally responsible for its deliberate and systematic crimes that have resulted in civilian deaths and significant material damage to both public and private properties.

Earlier today, Minister Bajala met with First Undersecretary of the Capital Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, to discuss coordination efforts to ensure the delivery of services and aid to individuals and families impacted by the consequences of the aggression.
