Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, has affirmed that the Trump administration “has been practicing deception and lying since the first day of the aggression against Yemen, which comes in the context of American support for Israeli crimes against our brothers in Gaza.”
In a statement, President Al-Mashat explained that “part of this deception lies in the American enemy’s attempt—through its media outlets—to deny that the aircraft carrier Truman was struck by a heroic operation carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces, which rendered it out of service in the early days of its participation in the aggression against the country.”
He added: “Part of this misinformation campaign involves footage allegedly from April 22, as claimed by its publishers.”
He emphasised that “even if this were true, it does not negate what we have announced, as the timeframe is sufficient for repairs to the damage caused by the strikes of Yemeni Armed Forces.”
President Mahdi Al-Mashat called on international media outlets —including Americans— to demand that the criminal Trump and his failed leaders publish data on the Truman carrier and footage from its on-board cameras from March 20 to 23.
He added: “The American public must demand this from the Trump administration and put pressure by sending a congressional delegation to retrieve this data from the carrier, so the American people can learn the truth about what their forces and soldiers are facing, and the falsehood of what Trump and his failed administration claim.”
