The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces have taken control of the village of Doroshivka in Ukraine’s eastern Kharkiv province, as part of ongoing military operations in the region.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said, “Units of the Russian ‘West’ Group carried out offensive operations, resulting in the seizure of the village.”
It added that Ukrainian forces suffered over 1,100 troop casualties, along with the destruction of military equipment, including armored vehicles, troop carriers, and artillery. Ammunition depots and electronic warfare stations were also targeted.
The statement noted that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet and destroyed 189 drones.
Additionally, airstrikes and missile attacks hit military infrastructure, such as airfields, drone manufacturing facilities, and storage depots, as well as a fuel station used by Ukrainian forces.
