Shura Council Member Haidan: Yemen Will Make America Pay for Its Escalation

Shura Council member, writer, and political analyst Nayef Haidan affirmed that the American enemy will not achieve any victory in Yemen, and that failure will continue to follow it.

In a statement to the Palestine Today channel, Haidan stated that the Yemeni people are known for their strength and resilience, and that they do not fear war. Yemen, he said, is the preferred battlefield for Yemeni fighters. He added that the aggression’s airstrikes on Yemen will ultimately backfire on Washington and bring no benefit to the Americans. The killing of children, women, and civilians will forever remain a stain of shame on their record.

He confirmed that the Yemeni people will continue to support the Palestinians, no matter the sacrifices, emphasizing that Yemenis possess unbreakable determination. The world has witnessed people emerging from beneath the rubble—undaunted by airstrikes and defiantly facing the American enemy.

Haidan explained that the American enemy’s hysterical targeting of Yemeni cities reflects the extent of its failure and frustration, and stressed that Yemen cannot be broken. If the enemy escalates further, Yemen’s Armed Forces have surprises in store that will force a retreat and deliver a stinging defeat.

The US air launched a campaign against Yemen began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen’s decision to resume retaliatory attacks on Israel in response to Israel’s intensified operations in Gaza. Since the initiation of the airstrikes, US forces have targeted civilian infrastructure throughout Yemen, including communication networks, power plants, and water reservoirs, on an almost daily basis.

Washington justifies its airstrikes by claiming they are aimed at restoring freedom of navigation in the waters around Yemen. However, Yemen has rejected these claims, stating that its military operations are specifically directed against Israeli-linked vessels and not international shipping.

Yemen’s military has been targeting ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, as well as those operating in Israeli-occupied territories, since October 2023, following Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza.

The leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik interpreted recent US military escalations, including B-52 bomber sorties launched from bases in the Indian Ocean, as indicators of growing American concern about Yemen’s strategic impact on Israel’s economy and regional security.
