UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it had received a report of an incident approximately 508 nautical miles east of Mogadishu in the Indian Ocean, according a statement issued by UKMTO on X account.

The Vessel had a fire in engine room and is now extinguished. The state of engines are unknown due to engine room flooding. The Vessel is not taking on water but is drifting, the statement read.
One crew member was injured and requires emergency medical assistance. The Indian Navy have given medical assistance and now have disembarked the vessel. The crew remains onboard, according to the statement.
It added that the military authorities have been informed and continue to co-ordinate.
