Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil said on Sunday that what is happening in the Gaza can only be described as “genocide”, and it must stop.
His remarks came during a press interview on the sidelines of his participation in the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in southern Turkey.
Regarding the genocidal war being waged by the Israeli occupation in Gaza since October 7, 2023, Gil stressed that “the situation in Gaza is unsustainable.”
He emphasized, “What is happening in Gaza cannot be called anything other than genocide,” while reaffirming his country’s support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
Gil also called for the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
