Yemeni Parliament Reaffirms Full Support for Palestine, Calls for Lifting Gaza Siege

The Yemeni Parliament has reiterated its steadfast official and popular stance in support of the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the need to end the aggression against the Palestinian people, lift the blockade and allow the entry of humanitarian aid to save the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued today, the Parliament praised the massive demonstrations that took place in the capital, Sana’a, and various governorates across the republic, which reflect the continued popular support for the honorable and courageous positions taken by the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the role of the Yemeni armed forces in support of Gaza.

The Parliament expressed pride in the heroic role demonstrated by Yemen’s revolutionary and political leadership, its people, and its brave armed forces in confronting the arrogance and brutality of the American aggression targeting Yemen’s civilian infrastructure and national capabilities.

The statement stressed that US crimes will only increase the Yemeni people’s determination, resilience, and support for the revolutionary and political leadership and the armed forces in confronting blatant US aggression—an aggression that aligns with American support for the Zionist entity and its crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Parliament also expressed deep regret over the continued Arab and Islamic abandonment of the Palestinian people, who are enduring genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, Rafah, and the West Bank.

It reminded these nations of a past warning by the leader of the revolution about Zionist expansionist ambitions in the region, which are now materializing in the destruction of Syrian and Lebanese assets.

The statement warned that the disgraceful silence and complicity of some Arab regimes regarding Gaza will eventually backfire on them.

Addressing Arab and Islamic parliaments, the Yemeni Parliament called on them, in the name of human conscience and the cries of Palestine’s women and children, to reconsider their shameful positions.

It urged them to hear the cries of the afflicted and remember the historical call of the Muslim woman to al-Mu’tasim, who responded by dispatching his army to defend her—an action that led to the conquest of Ammoria.

The Parliament concluded with a pointed question:

“Will history repeat itself today in response to the pleas of Palestine’s women and children, who are being killed day and night before the world’s eyes? Where are the leaders, scholars, and peoples of the Islamic nation as Gaza’s elderly, women, and children endure genocide, ethnic cleansing, and a siege that deprives them of food, water, medicine, and the most basic necessities of life?”
