Al-Quds Brigades Launch Complex Ambush On Zionist Forces In Khan Younis

Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, on Thursday announced that they had carried out a complex ambush that resulted in multiple Israeli soldiers killed and wounded in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

In a statement on Telegram, the group said its fighters lured an Israeli engineering unit into a booby-trapped building rigged with high-powered explosive devices in eastern Khan Younis.

Once reinforcements arrived, fighters launched an anti-armor missile, targeting them directly. The brigade confirmed that a helicopter was deployed to evacuate the dead and wounded soldiers.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that a soldier was injured by a grenade explosion during military operations in southern Gaza.

Prior to that, Israeli outlets confirmed that injured soldiers had been airlifted out of the Gaza Strip following what was described as a “new security incident.”

Palestinian media quoted Israel’s “Field Security News” saying that a helicopter carrying wounded soldiers landed at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.
