British Airways Cancels Flights To “Israel” Until End Of July

British Airways has canceled flights to Israel until the end of July due to the Yemeni Armed Forces’ ongoing air blockade of Ben Gurion International Airport

The airline cited concerns regarding the security situation in “Israel”.

Yemen has continued to target the airport since one of its ballistic missiles made a direct impact on the facility in early May. The Yemeni armed forces have imposed a blockade on Ben Gurion Airport and has warned international airlines that the facility is not safe.

Air traffic at the Tel Aviv airport has been repeatedly halted over the past few weeks due to the Yemeni operations.

As a result, multiple airlines canceled flights to “Israel” following a Yemeni missile striking the area of Ben-Gurion Airport in April .

Air Canada has postponed the resumption of flights to September, and several other major airlines have extended cancellations until mid-June.
