German Chancellor: Al-Jarjawi School Massacre In Gaza Is A “Humanitarian Tragedy & A Political Catastrophe”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz described the massacre committed by the Israeli enemy army at the Fahmi al-Jarjawi School in the Gaza Strip, which was sheltering displaced persons, as a “humanitarian tragedy and a political catastrophe.”

This came in his speech at the European Forum organized by the West German Broadcasting Corporation on Monday, according to the official Palestinian News Agency.

Metz said, “The military operation has crossed all limits, and frankly, I no longer understand its purpose. What the civilian population is being subjected to cannot be justified.”

He continued: “Because of our history, we must refrain from offering public advice to Israel.

However, when the line is crossed, when international humanitarian law is violated, we as Germany, and as Chancellor, must speak out on the issue, and I have done this more clearly in recent days.”

On Monday, Israeli enemy forces committed a horrific massacre at the Fahmi al-Jarjawi School in the al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which houses thousands of displaced people.

The massacre resulted in the deaths of 31 civilians, including 18 children and six women, in addition to dozens more wounded.

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy has been committing a crime of genocide and a complete siege on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

This has resulted in more than 175,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of whom are children and women, according to a preliminary toll, in addition to more than 14,000 missing persons.
