The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) accused the Israeli occupation forces on Monday of deliberately creating famine and worsening the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, due to the ongoing siege and the prevention of food and medical supplies from entering.
In a press statement , the movement stated that the famine in Gaza intensifies catastrophically amid the continued siege and blocking of food and medicine entry.
Hamas emphasized that only UN agencies and relevant government bodies are authorized to manage and distribute humanitarian aid, warning against any efforts by the occupation or its “agents” to control aid distribution channels.
The movement called for the immediate lifting of the blockade on Gaza and the urgent reopening of crossings to allow the free flow of relief and medical assistance, under UN supervision and without Israeli interference or conditions.
Hamas stressed that the occupation’s ongoing actions constitute a “crime against humanity” and called for immediate international action to prevent further deterioration of the situation and to protect the civilian population.
