Hamas Hails Stances By European Nations

The Hamas Movement has appreciated the humanitarian and courageous position expressed by Spain, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, and Slovenia in their joint statement on Gaza and the West Bank.

A number of European leaders issued a statement on Friday calling on Israel to halt its attacks on Gaza and allow humanitarian aid into the enclave, dubbing the situation a “man-made catastrophe.” They also condemned its violations in the West Bank.

In press remarks on Friday, Hamas also valued the stance voiced by French president Emmanuel Macron, who called for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the unjust blockade on Gaza and condemned Israel’s practices against Palestinian civilians.

Hamas noted that Macron’s position echoes those made by other European countries and officials on the situation in Gaza.

Hamas urged other world leaders to raise their voices loudly against the Israeli occupation and its brutal massacres and to work seriously and immediately on putting an end to the genocidal war and siege on Gaza.

The Movement also expressed its hope for a unified Arab position pressuring for a halt to the genocidal war on Gaza and the swift and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians.
