The Hamas Movement has applauded the shooting operation that was carried out on Wednesday night in western Salfit, saying that it was a “heroic act that represents the true pulse of the West Bank.”
“The operation is a testament to our people’s unwavering spirit of resistance, as they reject all forms of oppression and aggression against them,” Hamas stated on Wednesday.
“Our people continues to respond to the occupation’s crimes and its malicious plots that aim to annex more land and displace them to enable more colonial settlement expansion,” Hamas added.
Hamas affirmed that the operation was a natural response to the Israeli occupation’s escalating crimes and its ongoing aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
For his part, Abu Obeida, the spokesman for al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, has blessed the shooting operation in Salfit that resulted in the killing of an extremist Jewish settler and the injury of another one.
In Telegram remarks on Wednesday, Abu Obeida urged the Palestinian masses across the occupied land to rise up against the occupation in defense of their people and their holy sites.
A shooting operation occurred on Wednesday night when Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli car carrying two settler couple on a road between the illegal settlements of Peduel and Bruchin near Salfit in the occupied West Bank. The shooters managed to flee the scene.
One settler was killed and another one was injured in the shooting incident.
Following the operation, the Israeli occupation forces spread in the area, closing roads and storming nearby Palestinian towns.
