Palestinian journalist Hassan Majdi Abu Warda and several members of his family were killed on Sunday morning when Israeli warplanes targeted their home in the Jabalia al-Nazla neighborhood, in northern Gaza.

With Abu Warda’s murder, the number of journalists killed since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to more than 221. Hundreds of others have been injured or detained during the same period.
