The first meeting of the Feed Registration and Regulation Committee, chaired today by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, discussed the completion of the preparation of the foundations, standards, and controls governing the animal feed management policy.
The meeting, attended by the Director of Animal Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qadari, and the Director of Animal Wealth Development, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Junaid, reviewed the decision to establish the committee formed by the Ministry, its assigned tasks, its workflow, and its performance evaluation over the past period.
The meeting approved the committee’s work plan, assigning a team of experts, specialists, and academics to complete the review of the draft proposed foundations and standards, as these are among the most important requirements and basic inputs for developing animal wealth in the country.
Minister Al-Rubai emphasized the importance of regular committee meetings to ensure improved services provided to feed producers and enhanced technical support for them in order to develop the animal feed sector and promote local production.
