Oman’s FM: Fourth Round of Iran-US Talks Featured Original Ideas Aimed at Reaching Honorable Agreement

Iran and the United States concluded the fourth round of negotiations in Oman on Sunday, with further talks planned, according to a senior Omani official.

“We completed another round of talks between Iran and the United States in Muscat today,” Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Al-Busaidi, write on his X account on Sunday.

He added, The discussions included useful and original ideas reflecting a shared wish to reach an honorable agreement.”

Al-Busaidi indicated that the 5th round of talks will take place once both parties have consult their leaderships.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the talks were difficult, but were also “useful”.

He said the discussions helped the two sides “understand each other’s positions” and “find reasonable and realistic ways to address the differences.”
