As Israeli occupation forces advanced on multiple fronts in northern Gaza, Palestinian resistance factions reported renewed operations targeting the advancing troops.
According to a statement released on Monday by the Al-Qassam Brigades, two Israeli tanks were targeted with Al-Yassin 105 shells in the Aslan area of Beit Lahia on May 24, 2025. The attack reportedly set one of the vehicles on fire.
“After returning from the front lines, our fighters confirmed they targeted two Israeli tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells, setting one of the vehicles on fire in the Aslan area of Beit Lahia,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades claimed to have launched a heavy mortar barrage at a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles near Al-Ma’ri School, northeast of Khan Younis. The group reported that a helicopter landed and smoke bombs were deployed to evacuate the wounded.
“We shelled a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles that had entered the vicinity of Al-Ma’ri School with heavy mortar fire. Our fighters observed a helicopter landing and smoke bombs being deployed to extract casualties,” the statement said.
Additionally, resistance sources reported that an anti-personnel missile targeted an Israeli unit inside a house in the fifth Qaraa area of Beit Lahia.
