The United Nations warned on Tuesday that approximately 14,000 babies in the Gaza Strip could die within 48 hours if life-saving humanitarian aid does not reach them promptly.
According to the official UN website, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, said that 14,000 babies are at risk of dying within 48 hours if humanitarian teams are unable to reach them in time. He emphasized that UN teams are actively working to save as many of these children as possible.
The UN official emphasized the urgent need to flood Gaza with humanitarian aid, noting that many personnel remain on the ground in medical centers and schools, working to assess the needs.
