UNRWA: Gaza Is In Dire Need Of An Uninterrupted Flow Of Humanitarian Aid

United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Friday that the Gaza Strip is in dire need of urgent humanitarian aid, and that the flow of supplies must be allowed without hindrance or interruption, given the tragic situation facing the population due to the continued closure of the crossings since March 2.

UNRWA said in a press statement: “We have enough supplies in our warehouse in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to feed more than 200,000 people in Gaza for an entire month.”

The Gaza Strip has been suffering from a catastrophic humanitarian and relief crisis since Israel closed the crossings on March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, aid, and fuel, while its army escalates its genocidal campaign against the Palestinians in the Strip.

Israel has been blockading the Strip for 18 years, and approximately 1.5 million Palestinians, out of a population of approximately 2.4 million, have become homeless after their homes were destroyed in the war of extermination.

The Strip is suffering from a severe famine due to the closure of the crossings to humanitarian aid.

With full American support, Israel has been committing genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 177,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
