The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday that three civilians were martyred in an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle near the town of Kfar Djal in southern Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), the attack occurred when an Israeli drone fired two missiles at the car, causing it to burst into flames. Emergency teams, including firefighters and ambulances, rushed to the scene, but the victims succumbed to their injuries.
The Ministry of Health’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that the strike took place in the Nabatieh District, raising the death toll to three. The NNA also noted that Israeli drones had been actively surveilling the area since early morning before carrying out the attack.
This latest escalation comes amid ongoing tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, with frequent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Lebanese resistance groups. Local authorities have condemned the strike as a violation of sovereignty and an act of aggression against civilians.
