Khamenei : Iran Will Not Give up Uranium Enrichment

Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declared that the Islamic Republic is determined to strengthen its power in all areas.

During his speech on Wednesday, marking the 36th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, Khamenei emphasized that his country has thwarted more than a thousand plots targeting it, led by arrogant powers, led by the United States and the Zionist enemy.

He emphasized that these plots have strengthened Iran’s strength and that it will continue to expand its comprehensive national capabilities.

Khamenei explained that the ongoing attempts to weaken Iran have completely failed, and that, on the contrary, our capabilities have been strengthened both internally and externally.

He pointed to the significant decline in the United States’ standing on the global stage and the growing hatred of Zionism as a result of the revolution led by Imam Khomeini.

He emphasized that the Iranian people determine their own destiny and do not wait for permission from anyone, and that their national independence does not mean separation from the world and neighboring countries.

He also pointed out that Iran’s scientific and technological progress and significant defensive capabilities reflect its strength, and that resistance does not mean surrendering to major powers, but rather standing up to them.

Regarding the negotiations, he emphasized that the proposal put forward by the Americans during the talks completely contradicts the principle of our ability to achieve.

Regarding the Zionist entity, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that security in the region cannot be achieved by relying on this entity, which is nearing its demise. He noted that normalization with it is a disgrace that will forever haunt countries seeking it.

Regarding the situation in Gaza, Khamenei noted that “Islamic countries bear a huge responsibility for what is happening there,” explaining that there is no room today for courtesy, neutrality, or silence.

He also strongly criticized the United States, considering it a partner in the bloodshed in Gaza, and reiterated his call for it to withdraw from the region and withdraw its forces.

Ayatollah Khamenei then moved on to discuss Iran’s nuclear program, declaring that Tehran will not abandon uranium enrichment.

He challenged the United States, saying, “Who are you to determine whether we should have a nuclear program or not? You cannot undermine our nuclear program.”

He added, “Enrichment is an essential part of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, and a nuclear program without uranium enrichment is worthless.”

He also noted that Iran, thanks to the efforts of its scientists and youth, has achieved a complete nuclear energy cycle and is now a global leader in several fields.

He emphasized that its defensive capabilities, which were just beginning, are now at the forefront of the region, and that all these achievements have been made possible through self-reliance.
