Moroccan associations announced the beginning of preparations for participation in an international march to Gaza, scheduled for June 9, to demand an end to the Zionist genocide, an end to the blockade, and the entry of aid.
According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency on Wednesday, the National Action Group for Palestine said in a statement that it launched a registration platform for the international march to break the siege on Gaza for Moroccans on Tuesday.
It explained that this step comes within the framework of preparations for the launch of the international march to break the blockade on Gaza.
For its part, the Moroccan Front for Supporting Palestine announced in a statement its participation in the international march to Gaza and its support for this initiative.
It stated that it “will continue its multifaceted struggle to end the genocide, including participation in the global march to the Rafah crossing to end the long criminal blockade on Gaza.”
On Saturday, the Joint Action Coordination for Palestine in Tunisia announced that thousands from Tunisia and the Maghreb countries had joined a land convoy that will depart on June 9 towards Gaza, passing through Libya and then Egypt, to break the Israeli blockade on the Strip and bring in aid.
Moroccan associations stated that participants in the international march will first travel to Tunisia by air, then by land to Libya, then Egypt, and finally Gaza.
Parallel to the land convoy, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s “Madeleine” ship set sail on Sunday from the Italian port of Catania to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
A few days ago, a coalition of international trade unions, organizations, and human rights institutions from more than 32 countries announced the launch of the “Global March to Gaza” initiative to enter the Strip on foot.
This move comes in light of the catastrophic humanitarian situation facing Palestinians in the Strip.
