North Korea’s Kim Jong Un Supports Russia’s Actions In “Resolving” Ukraine War

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed his country’s full support for Russia’s efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis, pledging alignment with Moscow’s actions in accordance with the strategic treaty between the two nations.

During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Kim stated that North Korea is ready to back all measures taken by the Russian leadership aimed at a “fundamental resolution” of the conflict in Ukraine, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Kim emphasized that Pyongyang and Moscow are aligned on all major strategic issues, describing their positions as a reflection of the “high-level allied relations” between the two countries.

The KCNA also reported that Lavrov conveyed Putin’s “warm greetings” to Kim, who reciprocated with thanks and his own friendly greetings to the Russian president.

On Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Lavrov met with leader Kim Jong-un during his official visit to North Korea.

Lavrov arrived in Wonsan on Friday on a three-day visit, during which he also held talks with his North Korean counterpart Choe Son-hui as part of the second round of strategic dialogue between the two countries.
