British media reported on Wednesday that despite the ongoing siege and military-economic aggression, Yemen has managed to develop advanced missile and drone systems that have helped reshape the regional balance of power.
In a new report, the British newspaper The Sun highlighted Yemen’s growing military capabilities, which have deeply unsettled Washington, the Israeli entity, and Europe alike.
The report stated that these capabilities have become a genuine concern for the Israeli occupation and the United States. The Yemeni Armed Forces’ operations in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait — in support of Gaza — have severely disrupted trade through Israeli ports, especially after Yemen imposed an effective naval blockade that paralyzed and ultimately shut down the port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat).
The British newspaper noted the failure of the United States, the Israeli regime, and the European Union to break the will of the Yemenis, who have successfully imposed new deterrence rules in the Red Sea, despite military campaigns, economic sanctions, and political interference.
The report added that the responses from the Zionist and American sides to Yemen’s capabilities have been hesitant and limited — reflecting growing confusion and anxiety over the rise of Yemeni military power. This power is now reshaping the rules of engagement and posing serious challenges to the American project in the region. The Red Sea conflict, it concluded, has become a clear example of Yemen’s resilience and its ability to confront immense challenges despite the ongoing blockade and international pressure.
