A massive demonstration took place in Dallas, Texas, to protest Israeli crimes against Palestinians, particularly the systematic starvation policy targeting the people of the Gaza Strip.
Protesters condemned recent statements by Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who threatened imprisoned leader Marwan Barghouti after a raid on his cell a few days ago. The demonstrators viewed these threats as part of the general mistreatment of prisoners inside Israeli jails.
The protest included doctors and academics who had previously visited the Gaza Strip and volunteered to provide humanitarian and medical aid. In their speeches, they emphasized the need for continued popular and international support for Palestinian rights.
Demonstrators stressed that the voice of the “American street” must become more prominent to pressure political institutions to end Israeli violations and support the Palestinian people’s aspirations for freedom and justice.
