The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen has strongly condemned the Israeli entity’s decision to fully control and occupy the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the ministry described the decision as a new aggressive step and a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms. The statement asserted that this move clearly reveals the Israeli entity’s true intentions to erase Palestinian identity and liquidate the Palestinian cause. It further emphasizes that Israel’s goal is not merely to fight the resistance but to seize land and displace its people.
The statement pointed out that the decision’s ramifications are dangerous and will be catastrophic on all levels, threatening to expand the circle of conflict in the region and bringing it to the brink of utter chaos.
The ministry considered the Israeli decision a full-fledged war crime and a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and all relevant international resolutions on the Palestinian issue. It warned that the decision would further exacerbate the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Strip and escalate the crimes of killing, ethnic cleansing, and starvation practiced by the Zionist enemy against the unarmed Palestinian people.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that Arab countries seeking to normalize relations with the Israeli entity, or those that have already done so for free, will one day realize that the usurping entity has no true allies. It stated that their normalization will not bring them security or prosperity, but will instead make them a mere bridge for enemies to cross and strike the nation.
The statement highlighted that the Palestinian people and their brave resistance hold the key to security and stability in the region, and supporting them is the correct stance everyone should take.
The ministry reiterated the steadfast and principled position of the Republic of Yemen, as announced by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to continue supporting the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance. It clarified that this position is not just words, but a religious, moral, and humanitarian commitment, which the Yemeni armed forces are practically translating through escalating their military operations against the Zionist enemy’s targets until the aggression is halted and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted.
The ministry called on the international community, humanitarian organizations, and human rights bodies to bear their moral and legal responsibility, and to act immediately to stop the brutal Zionist aggression and take decisive measures to hold the occupation’s leaders accountable for their crimes against humanity.
