Human Rights Watch confirmed today, Friday, that the aid distribution system in Gaza has turned into “regular blood baths.”
In a statement, the organization said that “Israel’s killing of Palestinians seeking food is a war crime,” pointing out that the U.S.-backed Israeli military and contractors have established a “flawed military system for distributing aid in Gaza.”
Human Rights Watch documented the deaths of at least 859 Palestinians while they were trying to get aid between May 27 and July 31.
The international organization added that “the dire humanitarian situation is a direct result of Israel’s use of starvation of civilians as a weapon of war.”
The organization called on the international community to pressure the Israeli entity to lift the “unlawful, comprehensive restrictions on aid entering Gaza.”
