Iran Denies Rumors Of Embassy Closures In Tehran

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has categorically denied claims that foreign embassies in Tehran have closed, describing the reports as false and part of a psychological warfare campaign allegedly orchestrated by Israel, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

In a statement issued Saturday by the ministry’s Public Relations Office, officials dismissed the rumors circulating online as baseless and aimed at fueling tension within the country.

“The rumor of embassy closures is a psychological warfare tactic orchestrated by Zionist media operation centers,” the statement read.

The ministry further clarified that the false information originated from certain Telegram channels allegedly linked to the Israeli regime and anti-Iran elements. It reaffirmed that all foreign diplomatic missions in Tehran remain open and fully operational.

The clarification came after a Telegram channel claimed that multiple Western countries had shut down their embassies in the Iranian capital, prompting speculation and concern across Persian-language social media platforms.
