The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has declared the Israeli army’s order to evacuate Gaza City, which is home to approximately 900,000 residents and displaced people, a “major war crime and a full-fledged crime against humanity.”
In a press statement, the PFLP described the move as the “pinnacle of the project of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and the comprehensive uprooting of the Palestinian people in Gaza.”
The group stated that this order is part of a systematic policy aimed at emptying Gaza of its residents and undermining Palestinian national identity, likening it to a “new Nakba and a major tragedy unfolding before the eyes and ears of the world.”
The PFLP also addressed recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arguing that his conditions and “no’s” for a ceasefire agreement prove that Israel’s only objective is “genocide, eradication, and continuous destruction” in an open war against the Palestinian people’s existence and identity.
Regarding the entry of tents into the southern Gaza Strip, the PFLP called it an “obvious attempt to cover up the major massacre the enemy plans to carry out in Gaza City.” The group refuted Israeli claims that this was a humanitarian step coordinated with the UN, noting that the international organization itself has exposed these falsehoods. The PFLP asserted that Israel is “legitimizing its crimes through deception and misinformation.”
The PFLP also pointed to what it called “open-ended American green light,” citing political and military support that it says gives Israel the legitimacy to continue its crimes. This, the group added, makes the U.S. administration a “de facto partner in the crime of genocide and destruction.”
The organization criticized the silence and inaction of the international community, stating that its failure to use international law to hold Israel accountable for its crimes makes these institutions “impotent or complicit,” which it believes encourages Israel’s continued aggression.
The PFLP concluded by calling for urgent national unity to create a joint and decisive strategy to confront the Zionist plan and the “major crime” Israel intends to carry out. It also urged the Palestinian people, the Arab world, and free people everywhere to “escalate pressure and confrontation by all means” to stop this impending crime in Gaza.
