Al-Qassam Brigades to hand over another Israeli corpse tonight

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has said it will hand over the body of another Israeli captive found in one of its tunnels tonight as part of the ceasefire agreement over the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, Al-Qassam Brigades said the remains would be transferred at 8:00 p.m. local time.

They also retrieved the body of the Israeli captive Amiram Cooper, who was found inside a tunnel north of Khan Yunis in Gaza, in preparation for handing it over to the Red Cross.

The Brigades has already handed the remains of 18 Israeli hostages and are making ongoing efforts to locate the remaining bodies as it does not know their precise whereabouts.

On Monday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem dismissed Israeli claims that the Movement knows the whereabouts of Israeli corpses, describing them as “unfounded,” “especially in light of the relentless Israeli bombardment that has drastically changed Gaza’s landscape.”
