UNRWA: Over 61 Million Tons of Debris Now Cover Gaza

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that more than 61 million tons of rubble now cover large areas of the Gaza Strip, noting that entire neighborhoods have been wiped out due to the ongoing massive destruction.

The agency confirmed, according to its official website on Thursday, that entire families are still searching through the rubble for water and shelter, in light of the restrictions imposed on the entry of humanitarian aid.

The UN agency stressed that its teams continue to provide life-saving assistance to the affected population despite the ongoing blockade, affirming its commitment to continuing its humanitarian work in the Strip under extremely difficult conditions
