Hamas: US Resolution Falls Short of Palestinian People’s Demands and Rights

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) affirmed that the UN Security Council’s adoption of the US resolution falls short of the political and humanitarian demands and rights of the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, which has endured two years of brutal genocide and unprecedented crimes perpetrated by the terrorist enemy before the eyes and ears of the world.

The effects and repercussions of these crimes continue to this day, despite the declared end of the war according to President Trump’s plan.

In a press statement issued last night and received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the movement said that this “decision imposes an international trusteeship mechanism on the Gaza Strip, which our people, forces, and factions reject. It also imposes a mechanism to achieve the enemy’s goals, which it failed to achieve through its brutal war of extermination.

This decision also separates the Gaza Strip from the rest of the Palestinian territory and attempts to impose new realities far removed from our people’s constants and legitimate national rights, thus depriving our people of their right to self-determination and the establishment of their Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
