Russian Air Defenses Shoot Down 31 Ukrainian UAVs

Russian  announced on Tuesday that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 31 Ukrainian drones overnight over several regions.

 

The ministry stated in a press release, as reported by Sputnik news agency: “Last night, our air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 31 Ukrainian drones.”

 

The statement added that the air defenses shot down 10 drones over the Voronezh region, 10 over the Tambov region, 3 over the Rostov region, 3 over the Yaroslavl region, 2 over the Smolensk region, and one each over the Bryansk, Kursk, and Oryol regions.

 

The Russian special military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, aims to protect the residents of Donbas, who, according to Moscow, have been subjected to persecution and extermination by the Kyiv regime for years.
